Not much is known about the father of Maximillian Acorn. He and a band of
Mobians discovered the overlander
Nate Morgan.
Present king of Mobitropolis and father of Sally. Was banished to the Zone of Silence by Lord Julian when he performed a coup d'etat. He was captured and enslaved by the wizard Ixis Naugus while in the Zone. He was rescued in 3234 by Sonic, Sally, and Geoffry St. John. After removed from the Zone of Silence, King Maximillian, still unconscious, began to crystallize. Power Rings seemed to positively affect his condition, but only temporarily. The Freedom Fighters began the search for the Sword of Acorn to lead them to the Crown of Acorn, their last hope. However, at that point Drago kidnapped the king and helped Robotnik (a.k.a. Julian) exchange him for a "healthy" robot duplicate. The robot betrayed the location of Knothole, and was exposed. The king, still sick, was brought back to Knothole after the final battle with Robotnik, and later moved to Mobitropolis, which was still being reconstructed, for recuperation. At this time, Maximillian began showing signs of ill temper, paranoia, and irrational behavior. When he ordered the dismantling of all Robians, it almost triggered a civil war, until it was revealed that he was still under Ixis Naugus' power. Using the Sword of Acorn, Sonic restored the king and his crown.
Born in 3219 to King Maximillian and Queen Alicia Acorn
, Princess Sally was mentored by
Julayla, and cared for by her nanny
Rosie. Sister to
Elias. Sally was five when the warlord Julianusurped the throne of her father. She escaped with many other Mobians to Knothole Village. Already
aquainted with Sonic, she met, and very soon made friends with Antoine,
Rotor, Miles Prower, and later Bunnie Rabbot. At the age of ten she
initiated the Freedom Fighters and became their leader. In 3234 Princess
Sally underwent roboticization in a daring plot against Robotnik. Rotor had
designed an neuro-overrider so she would be able to maintain her free will,
however, in the process it fell off. This could have meant the end of the
rebellion if it hadn't been for Dulcy, who saved all of the Freedom
Fighters. 
In 3235 Sally was seemingly killed by Sonic the Hedgehog. Her
death had a big influence on the events which would lead up to the final
battle. It was later discovered that she was not dead, but in fact being
secretly sustained in a coma by Dr. Quack.
After the king's return Sally was finding it difficult adjusting to her
loss of power, and was finally presented with an ultimatum by her father.
She would not be permitted to rule if she did not bond with the Source of All, which would also mean marrying Antoine D'Coolette. This posed as a
serious dillemma for her, beacause of her love for Sonic.
An evil counterpart of Princess Sally Acorn. Not much is known about her.
Young hedgehog, and Sonic's biggest fan. Cousin of Rob O' the Hedge. Captured along with Tails by Mecha-Sonic until later rescued by the real Sonic. She was also a protester when Sonic was arrested for treason.
Three benevolent creatures who seem to have direct links to the power of
the Chaos Emeralds. Worshipped by some as deities, and trusted by others
simply as advisors, their counsel is always wise, though selective. They
often appear startlingly as huge dinosaurs, wearing a type of shaman's
mask. Many legends are centered upon these mysterious benefactors.

One of Ixis Naugus' minions. Arachnis attacked the Freedom Fighters when she, Naugus, and Kodos escaped from the Zone of Silence. She was crystallized when Naugus lost the battle and taken to the Devil's Gulag.
A fire ant and mentor to Knuckles. Also may have mentored Locke and Sabre. In 3234, he kidnapped the Chaotix to teach Knuckles wisdom, and to reveal himself. Archemedes and his brethren also aided Knuckles in his defeat of Enerjak. He is in constant contact with Locke.
Young armadillo Freedom Fighter. Trained by Sally alongside his friends Penelope, Dylan, and Hamlin. He has often been of great service to the cause and is known to be very loyal. He has managed to survive a hang-glider crash, a small rock fall, and a fight with Sonic.
A former guardian, he deserted his post when the Ancient Walkers called him to lead the Lost Tribe to the land of Albion. He is regarded with disdain by all guardian for his desertion. He married Crystal-La, who was lost in an attack by Robotnik, but not before bearing their son, Sabre. He was of help to Tails when he was injured, at which time he informed the young fox that he was "the Chosen One"- a statement on which he did not elaborate. He also visited Haven at one point in order to alert Locke to the dangers of the Dark Legion.
Member of the Arctic Freedom Fighters. He was trapped in a cave near
Knothole along with them when Robotnik usurped the throne. Later, he and
the others returned to the arctic. He also saved Rotor's life.
